While roaming through the internets I found another thing of which - in case someone would have explained it to me as his shiny new idea to go into buisness with - I would have given a chance of survival as big as the one of an average sized ice-cube in hell in mid-summer. Well MyMiniCity.com presents a new ultra-pimped version of a user counter. The whole thing is a nice idea, but as almost everything in the web it lacks sense.

Seminar on exact algorithms

You again… Well. Tomorrow will be the big day. My talk in the seminar on exact algorithms is next. So I uploaded the final version of the presentation and the software used to visualize the results acquired during the talk. My main goals while creating the presentation was to include as much interaction with the audience as managable and as few spelling errors as possible.

Okay. Because I do not like doing things manually and I need to calculate a lot of branching numbers lately (I wonder how that happended…) I created a little shell tool, which does it for me. After a few comments, it looks an awful lot like the program created by the guys from the theoretical computer science chair, but this is mine - I promise

New apartment

Hey there! Just completed “moving” to my new apartment. I still need a black Expedit and some kind of fitting closet — Did you ever notice, that finding a table, a bed or a carpet that fits a room is no big thing, but to get a suiting closet is nearly impossible. It’s just like with the ceiling textures in DukeNukem3D maps. Never the less, here are some previews of how it currently looks:

Because many of our students have problems with amortized analyses Felix, Fernando and I put together a short paper on that topic. The paper will soon be published on the websites of the chair for theoretical computer science.

Datastructures & Algorithms Sheet

Hi, I’m a bit in a hurry right now, so I’ll just post the file with a little text. The sheet(s) contain some more or less useful tricks for the math used in the lecture datastructures and algorithms and serves as my notes when conducting the tutorial starting tomorrow. I’ll update this sheet once in a while in case I find errors or new stuff to put it on the sheet.
